Our Commitment to Your Career Transition

Our Commitment to Your Career Transition was originally published on Springboard.

At Springboard, we’re on a mission to close the world’s skills gap by helping our students develop the skills they need to achieve career success in today’s job market. To better achieve that goal, we’re investing more of our resources into our career track courses.

As the company has grown, we’ve listened closely to our students and the employer community to understand where we’re having the greatest impact on students’ professional success.

It’s become increasingly clear that the combination of intensive project-based learning, unlimited mentor support, and consistent career coaching in our career track courses is a formula that students want—and need—to make meaningful career transitions. (You can find student success stories here.)

As an example of this impact, the average Data Science Career Track alum realizes a $23,000 average salary increase after taking our course. (Explore our student outcomes data here.)

What does this mean for Springboard’s skills track courses?

While we remain incredibly proud of the quality of our shorter skills tracks programs, and we’re gratified to know that thousands of students have used these to grow professionally, we’ve decided to be laser-focused on delivering courses that help students achieve the strongest career outcomes.

That means that the last new cohort for skills tracks—Introduction to Data Science, Intermediate Data Science with Python, UX Design Course, Business Analytics Course, and Digital Marketing for Professionals—will begin on August 5.

We will continue to serve all of our existing skills track students, as well as any new (August cohort) students, with the same high standard of excellence and personalized support that Springboard is known for.

Why now?

Over the last year, we’ve experienced more than a 100% increase in demand for our existing career track courses in data science, UX design, digital marketing, and machine learning

At the same time, we’re actively developing and launching additional career track courses (like the Data Analytics Career Track, launched in partnership with Microsoft), in direct response to the demonstrated need from our employer community and strong interest from prospective students.

Now is the time for us to focus all of our resources on what we do best: helping students build the skills to be competitive—and to land a fulfilling job—in the most promising fields in today’s job market.
