5 Health Care Jobs on the Rise

Summary: This is the first article in a New York Times series on the Future of Health Care. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics the health care and social assistance sector will add the greatest number of new jobs. The drivers of the growth in demand for these jobs are aging baby boomers, longer life span, the rising prevalence of chronic conditions and the increased focus on health post pandemic. The five health care jobs on the rise include nurse practitioner, home health and person care aide, mental health specialist, massage therapist and respiratory therapist.
