Cracking the Code: Hacking the U.S. Cybersecurity Job Market | 10.25.22

The Center for Career & Professional Development and the Cybersecurity & Privacy Center presented Cracking the Code: Hacking the U.S. Cybersecurity Job Market, a Virtual Career Conversation featuring SHU MS in Cybersecurity Alumni on Tuesday evening, October 25th

The event was moderated by Sheila Lillis & Justin Triscari, Center for Career & Professional Development and featured  Gold Wejinya, Security Consultant, Prescient Security, SHU MS in Cybersecurity ’20.  Gold was also joined by Sajal Bhatia, PhD, Director of Cybersecurity, Assistant Professor, Cybersecurity and Greg Kyrytschenko, Adjunct Professor, Deputy Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), Guardian Life.

Over 30 Virtual attendees joined the conversation from the Cybersecurity Lab on West Campus.  The event shared perspectives on the cyber industry from a professional and academic perspective, and offered invaluable insights into what makes a successful “cyber defender”.  Students were encouraged to be intellectually curious, embrace a willingness to learn while also remaining team oriented.
