On Tuesday, October 18th, the Center for Career & Professional Development welcomed nearly a dozen actively hiring employers to campus for a “Meet the Employers” event. This event was held in the West Campus Atrium and invited students to interact with employers in a casual, “come as you are” atmosphere. This event was attended by The Bridgeport Police Department, IRS: Criminal Investigation, Vineyard Vines, Genworth, Cintas, RightClick, Bridgeport Islanders and Advance CT. All employers who attended were actively hiring for various positions, for both internship opportunities and full-time positions.
When asked, “What did you enjoy about this event?”, Tom Cavaliere noted, “This (event) was a great chance to meet Sacred Heart students eager to explore the career opportunities that await them after graduation in a smaller group setting.” Regan Lynch from Vineyard Vines responded, “’…The casual ‘between class’ interaction made the event very conversational and we had great success making meaningful connections with all students who came by our table…”
