On Wednesday, April 23rd, we had the opportunity to attend the EOS Engagement and Networking Event, hosted by the Jack Welch College of Business and Technology. Events like these are an excellent resource for students looking to build connections, learn more about industries, and start setting up their future career paths.
The EOS event featured interactive group activities, a group project reveal, a panel discussion with EOS representatives, and a Q&A session. It created a welcoming, casual environment where students could engage with professionals and each other, while also getting a behind-the-scenes look at how a major brand operates. Plus, with lunch and small group chats built in, there were even more chances to network naturally and comfortably.
We spoke with Emily Butler (’26), a student who attended the event, about why she finds opportunities like this so valuable. “I came to this event because I thought it was different from other networking events on campus, and I was curious to see what the workshop would be like and to meet the EOS employees.”
Emily’s experience highlights the benefit of exploring a variety of networking events. Attending something unique, like the EOS workshop, can broaden your perspective, introduce you to new industries, and help you build meaningful connections.
Tessa’s Takeaway:
As someone pursuing a career in marketing, it was exciting to learn about how a globally recognized brand like EOS thinks creatively and values innovation. The panel emphasized how students can stand out by being curious, adaptable, and ready to collaborate—skills I’m actively trying to develop!

Angelina’s Takeaway:
What stood out to me most was how open and approachable the EOS team was. It reminded me that networking isn’t always about having the perfect pitch – it’s about showing up, being yourself, and learning something new. That mindset has helped me grow professionally and personally.

Conclusion:
The EOS Engagement and Networking Event proved to be a valuable experience, demonstrating the importance of making the most of campus opportunities. Events like this not only expand students’ professional networks but also strengthen the skills and relationships that will support their career journeys long after graduation.
