Coastal Operations Technical Safety Internship Program
Duration: June-August or June- December 2024 (3 or 6 months)
Locations: St. Helena, CA, Healdsburg, CA and San Miguel, CA

We are searching for a candidate to fill a 3- or 6-month position within our Environmental, Health, and Safety Department (EHS) supporting Safety management systems of our Coastal Operations Group. The intern will report to the Coastal EHS Specialist and work closely with winery and vineyard management teams, team leaders, ranch leaders, corporate environmental specialists and possibly other site team members.
What You Will Do
- Assist in developing and writing job safety analysis.
- Participate in investigations for root causes of significant safety incidents.
- Presentation preparation for report-outs.
- Conducts facility assessments to identify safety hazards/risks and evaluate effectiveness of programs.
- Interfaces with facility safety teams/committees as a technical resource.
- Assist in the completion of assigned environmental health and safety projects.
What You Will Need
- Currently enrolled at a college or university and working towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in the School of Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or Business Management; OR have obtained a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in the school of Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or Business Management.
- Candidates for this position must have a valid driver’s license and a safe driving record. Required to obtain a California driver’s license or appropriate state driver’s license within 30 days of hire.
- Position requires availability to work evenings, weekends and holidays when necessary.
Min Quals Standard
- Required to be 18 years or older. This may be in addition to other age requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.
What Will Set You Apart
- Junior or Senior class standing at a college or university and working towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in the school of Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or Business Management.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with experience managing multiple assignments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access); data manipulation and analysis.
