Peace Corps is a catalyst for grassroots international development and cultural exchange powered by Volunteers, ready to use their energy, ingenuity, and skills to work alongside local partners towards reducing inequality and creating opportunities in communities around the world. Assignments are a 27-month commitment, including comprehensive technical, cross-cultural, and language training, and programs are available in 60+ countries. Volunteers have the chance to fully integrate into a host country community, where they live and work on projects related to education, health, agriculture, environment, youth development, or community economic development. Benefits during service include housing, a living stipend, medical and dental care, travel opportunities, and student loan benefits. After successful completion of service, Volunteers receive generous transition funds, access to graduate school fellowships, exclusive career services, and federal employment advantages.
