As an occupational health intern at Haleon, we believe you are a key asset to help us improve the health and wellbeing of employees on site. You will work with the site occupational health nurse to support on-site health monitoring programs and launch preventive health programs.
What will your individual contribution at Haleon be?
- Frequent engagements with both associates and operational leaders
- Evaluate trends and provide analysis of all injuries
- Develop an injury and illness prevention plan
- Develop and deploy a preventive health program

To enable you to perform in this future talent opportunity:
Education required:
- Pursuing a nursing/athletic training degree (LPN, RN, BSN, COHN, Certified Athletic Trainer, Injury Prevention Specialist)
- 3.0 or greater cumulative GPA preferred.
Other requirements:
- CPR and First Aid certified.
- Able to work on site in a manufacturing environment in East Durham, NY.
- Provide your own funding for relocation and commuting.
- Candidate must be eligible to work in the US at the time of, and for the duration of, their employment. Employees will be required to furnish evidence of US work authorization.
Preferred requirements:
- Basic understanding of working in a GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) environment.
- Basic knowledge of health risk assessments.
- Candidate familiar with basic injury management.
- Familiarity with ergonomic assessments.
Expected start date: June 2025
The hourly rate for this role is $24.50/ hour.
