The American Sign Language Club exposes sign language to the SHU community. The club provides insight on a culture that sometimes isn’t as widely recognized as other languages and cultures. Students can learn sign language and the club also provides an environment for those already skilled in ASL to sign with others.
“I’ve always been interested in learning ASL and this club was a fun way of doing that. It’s a really good introduction to different topics and everyone helps each other out with it too, which is nice” – Kelsey Westermann, 2020
