Gender Sexuality Alliance | GSA
The SHU GSA was started in the fall of 2000 to promote a safe environment on campus for Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender students and their allies. The mission of GSA is to create a safe space that encourages all individuals to be themselves, and to promote open conversation about gender, sexuality, and romantic minority (GSRM) issues on campus. Members of this club provide programming and events that promote a diverse and accepting environment, and work to make Sacred Heart University a better place for students no matter what their sexual orientation.
“The great thing about the Gender Sexuality Alliance is that everyone is welcome. You can be yourself and have a great time with a group of people who really care about working to make campus an accepting place.” ~Graham Hughes, Class of 2021
