The SHU GSA was started in the fall of 2000 to promote a safe environment on campus for Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender students and their allies. The mission of GSA is to create a safe space that encourages all individuals to be themselves, and to promote open conversation about gender, sexuality, and romantic minority (GSRM) issues on campus. Members of this club provide programming and events that promote a diverse and accepting environment, and work to make Sacred Heart University a better place for students no matter what their sexual orientation.
