The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) at Sacred Heart University is a campus initiative that strives to organize students for the survival, protection and development of children worldwide through education, advocacy and fundraising as a UNICEF Campus Initiative group through the U.S. Our mission is to reach a day when zero children die from preventable causes and as a club will do whatever it takes to give them the basics for a healthy childhood.
I truly love UNICEF at SHU because it gives people the ability to reach out to a whole other world. People involved are able to step out and make a change where they think it could be impossible. Personally, I believe that those who are involved can find purpose and a call that helps others as well as themselves. UNICEF is able to be a voice for the voiceless and help make the world a better place for both children of today and of the future. ~Rebekah Domenichella, Class of 2021
