How You’ll Perform The Role
The CyberSecurity Internship will be focused on enhancing the organization’s cybersecurity posture.
Projects could include:
- Conducting assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities
- Developing policies to mitigate risks
- Ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards and regulation
- Collaborating cross functionally to align practices with governance requirements, contributing to the overall improvement of the company’s GRC framework
What We Need From You
- Ability to analyze data, assess risks, and make recommendations for improvement
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Basic knowledge of governance, risk and compliance
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-function teams, identify issues, propose solutions and implement changes to enhance GRC processes
- Basic understanding of IT systems, security and technology.
- Ability to deal professionally in a fast-paced corporate environment and assume responsibility for guiding projects and programs from inception through completion
- Intermediate to excellent proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
- Availability to work M-F business hours
- Reliable Wi-Fi Connection required
- Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and have proof of citizenship or the appropriate Canadian work status documentation.
- Successful completion of a drug test and background check will be required
Preferred education: Junior or Senior pursuing a bachelor’s degree in IT, Business, Finance, Risk Mgmt., or related field
