These industries, often referred to as “Helping professions” provide various settings for employment.

The field of education can take you in and beyond the classroom. Whether you are interested in working with students, administration – or perhaps within curriculum development – there are many avenues that an education degree can take you. Human services, a broad term which encompasses social work, psychology and other related fields, provide a full range of support services. These services may include counseling, nursing, behavioral management, therapy etc. Although most commonly working within non-profit, it is also common to find these types of workers within private or profit settings. In addition, as an increasingly growing sector – non-profit organizations continue to grow and impact our communities on a local and national scale. Non-profits may be advocacy groups, charities, educational institutions, hospitals etc.
